Services Offered
One-on-one sessions in home, daycare or preschool
We offer one-on-one teaching, using is a highly personalized approach to instruction that focuses on the individual needs of the learner. The teaching approach can be adjusted based on the learner’s responses and progress.

We use evidence-based techniques and strategies which may vary depending on what works best for each individual learner. The first step is establishing a trusting and supportive relationship with the learner, which is crucial for effective learning. Rapport with the learner can greatly influence motivation and engagement. Once rapport is established, the learner is taught skills such as play and social skills, functional life skills, communication and academic skills, emotional regulation and self- management. Positive reinforcement is used to encourage desired behaviors and skills. Reinforcers may include tangible rewards, verbal praise, or additional privileges. Assessments are conducted to identify strengths and areas for growth. The programs are tailored to the specific goals, skills, and interests of the learner. Progress is regularly tracked through data collection to measure effectiveness and make necessary adjustments.

Parent coaching and support (in person or virtually)
Parent coaching is designed to help parents understand and implement behavioral strategies to support their child’s development. Parents learn to identify the functions of their child’s behaviors, what triggers them and what the child is trying to communicate. Parents are guided on how to create a consistent environment at home that reinforces positive behaviors and reduces challenging ones.
Collaboration with school teams
Upon the request of the family and/ or school team, we may observe the learner in the school environment, attend school meetings and collaborate with teachers and support staff to create individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) that are data-driven and specific to each student’s needs. A collaborative approach among educators, parents, and specialists, ensures consistent implementation of effective behavior strategies across settings.
